Jeanne Figi

photoJeanne has been a Sleep Technologist for 18 years. She previously worked at the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center at Hennipen County Medical Center, and at Noran Neurological Clinic and Sleep Center. She received her Associate of Applied Science in Electroneurodiagnostics in 1996.  When she was completing her degree she had wanted an opportunity to see what the field of Sleep Technology was like. Her program director told her if you want to see ‘anything and everything in sleep’  go to The Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center.  While there she had the opportunity to participate in clinical sleep medicine and research.

Her training and experience at Hennipen has given her an invaluable wealth of knowledge.

Jeanne feels fortunate to work in field where you have the opportunity to change someone’s life in one day or night.  ‘Sleep is an active process and there is no substitute for it.’

‘We spend one third of our lives sleeping, and it directly affects the other two thirds of our lives, there is no substitute for a good night’s sleep.’

She has been part of a team to train future sleep technologists and physicians in sleep medicine and technology.

She feels that it is important to give back to the field and educate future sleep technologists.

In her spare time she enjoys alpine skiing, bicycling, in-line skating, sailing, and entertaining family and friends.
