Hi Audiology friends and family!

We here at Andros Audiology hope that you are doing well, staying safe, and maintaining social distance! As things begin to open back up, slow and steady and safe, I thought I’d take some time to update you on the procedures that we’ve put in place to help maximize safety and thoughtfulness, while still allowing access to services.

Currently, we are scheduling all hearing appointment types as needed – hearing tests, hearing aid checks, hearing aid evaluations, and tinnitus evaluations are all available, with some caveats. Prior to entering the office for any appointments, patients will be required to answer a COVID-19 screening questionnaire over the phone or upon entering the office. If you currently reside in a group home, assisted living facility, or nursing care facility, we may ask that you wait to schedule an appointment, unless it is medically urgent. As these are high risk populations for COVID-19, we want to make sure that we are doing what we can to minimize spread, and to act in accordance with state restrictions still in place.

Upon entry to the clinic, all patient’s temperatures and pulse oximetry will be measured by a medical assistant (MA) or physician’s assistant (PA-C). They will then either be directed to wait in the marked available seats in the waiting room or ushered directly to their hearing care provider for their appointment. We are doing our best to minimize wait times in common areas and have clearly marked appropriate social distancing in the lobby to assist patients.

All patients, as well as all staff, will be asked to wear a mask for the duration of their time in the office – if you do not have access to your own masks, one will be provided upon your entry to the clinic. During appointments, social distancing will be maintained to the extent allowed by the testing that is necessary. Your friendly neighborhood audiologists may speak to you over headphones from outside the sound booth, but never fear, they’ll be just as friendly and instructive as ever!

Also, while we love meeting your loved ones and understand that support systems are intrinsically important, we ask that you bring a maximum of one person with you, if you are unable to come by yourself.

We have also added in additional time between appointments to allow providers time to adequately clean and wipe down equipment before seeing their next patients.

The bottom line is, we’re going to try to keep everyone as safe as possible, while still providing excellent care – whether near or far, we’re still Hear to Enhance Life.

Everyone stay safe and be well, and we’ll be here when you need us!
